Redmi K100 Pro Max Leak: 8000mAh Battery & New SD Chip

A new leak from tipster Gm suggests the upcoming Redmi K100 Pro Max will feature an 8,000mAh battery and the unannounced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip. The information surfaced X today, detailing a late 2026 China release before launching globally as the Poco F9 Ultra in early 2027.

The Redmi K100 Pro Max Leaked Details

  • Processor: The unannounced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6.
  • Display: A massive 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED panel. Sits at a 1200 x 2608 resolution with a blistering 165Hz refresh rate.
  • Cameras: A dual-threat setup. 200MP primary sensor paired with a 200MP periscope telephoto lens for advanced zoom.
  • Battery & Charging: An 8,000mAh cell. Wired charging hits 100W, wireless at 50W, and it even offers 22.5W reverse wireless charging.
  • Software: HyperOS 3, based on Android 16.
  • Global Release: Redmi K100 Pro Max will rebrand as the Poco F9 Ultra for international markets (including India and Europe) in Q1 2027. Expect the starting price to float around ₹55,342.

Just a couple of generations ago, the Redmi K80 Pro maxed out with a 6000mAh battery and a standard 50MP telephoto lens. A jump to an 8,000mAh cell and a 200MP periscope is an enormous leap. You are looking at a 33% increase in battery capacity and four times the megapixel count on the zoom lens. The display size is also creeping into small tablet territory at 6.9 inches.

Redmi K90 Ultra & Redmi K100 Pro Max Specification leak

Gm has dropped valid breadcrumbs in the past, but this specific Redmi K100 Pro Max spec sheet feels like an internal wishlist rather than a finalized production unit.

I think this leak is a mix of prototype testing and wishful thinking. An 8,000mAh battery, even with advanced high-density silicon-carbon chemistry, takes up a massive amount of physical space. Add a 200MP periscope lens, which requires a deep internal housing for the light-folding optics, and you have a serious space constraint.

I’ve seen this pattern before with Xiaomi and its sub-brands. They built a “Frankenstein” lab unit to test the thermal limits of the next-gen Snapdragon chips. Someone leaks the lab specs, and the internet loses its mind. But when it actually hits the assembly line, reality sets in. They usually dial it back to a 6500mAh battery to keep the phone under 9 millimeters thick.

Also, a ₹55,342 price tag for a global Poco F9 Ultra with these specific components? No chance. The bill of materials for a 200MP periscope and an Elite Gen 6 alone would push this well past the ₹70,000 mark. I don’t believe the Redmi K100 Pro Max will hit retail exactly as Gm describes it.
