Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro Global Launch: India Price & Specs Revealed

Samsung introduced the Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro globally at CES 2026, positioning it as an AI-powered ultrabook. Targeted at professionals and creators, it hits global markets this March. Expect both 14-inch and 16-inch models to launch in India soon, offering high-end performance in a premium Windows package.

With global rollouts beginning this March, the buzz around the Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro is real. I see a clear shift in Samsung’s strategy here. They want to dominate the premium AI PC segment without scaring off buyers.

The estimated starting price in India is between Rs 1,30,000 and Rs 1,79,990. If we look at the current market, this is right in line with the outgoing Galaxy Book5 Pro. That older model started at Rs 1,31,990 for the 14-inch base variant. This pricing strategy is a smart move. Holding the price steady while bringing in major hardware upgrades keeps them highly competitive. Buyers are tired of generational price hikes.

The Book5 Pro gave us 47 TOPS for AI tasks, a 3K resolution display, and decent Intel Arc Graphics. The newer model pushes that AI ceiling to 50 TOPS and completely rethinks thermal management. The brand is clearly targeting buyers who need future-proof performance but refuse to pay an inflation tax.

Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro: Key Specifications

Back to the Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro and its actual specs. The jump to Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors is a big deal. You can choose between the powerful Ultra X7 or the Ultra 5 chips. Both 14-inch and 16-inch sizes pack a gorgeous Dynamic AMOLED 2X touchscreen with a 120Hz variable refresh rate and a new anti-reflective coating. Samsung also tweaked the design, giving us a centrally aligned logo and a highly requested haptic trackpad.

The biggest upgrade? Samsung finally fixed the thermals. They introduced a vapor chamber cooling system to the Pro series. It claims a 35% thermal efficiency boost over the Book5 Pro. That means less throttling when you run heavy software.

Battery life looks solid, too.

  • 14-inch model: Packs a 67.18Wh battery and weighs just 1.24kg.
  • 16-inch model: Packs a massive 78.07Wh cell rated for 30 hours of video playback and weighs 1.56kg.

For memory, you get up to 32GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB SSD storage. A huge win? The 16-inch variant finally includes a RAM expansion slot. The predecessor strictly used soldered, non-upgradable RAM. Add in a dedicated NPU pushing 50 TOPS for on-device Galaxy AI features like image cleanup, and this looks like a serious workhorse.

The Upgrade Clash: Samsung vs. Apple

How does it hold up against the competition? The Apple MacBook Air (M5) is the elephant in the room. Apple’s new M5 chip brings a 10-core CPU, up to a 10-core GPU, and a massively upgraded 16-core Neural Engine. This setup delivers up to 4x faster AI performance than the M4 chip. Apple also set an aggressive baseline: the Air starts at Rs 1,19,900 with 16GB of unified memory and 512GB of base SSD storage (now configurable up to 4TB).

On paper, the Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro faces a tough battle on entry pricing. Apple undercuts Samsung’s estimated Rs 1,30,000 starting tag. But the Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro fights back hard. It offers touchscreen support, variable 120Hz refresh rates, and that much-needed RAM expansion slot on the 16-inch model. The Book5 Pro had a great AKG-tuned quad-speaker setup, and we expect that premium audio experience to carry over here as well. If you prefer Windows, Samsung provides better display flexibility and highly competitive raw hardware.

If you are a professional or a creator looking for a premium laptop under Rs 1,50,000, wait for the official India launch. The introduction of vapor chamber cooling and RAM upgradability on the 16-inch model are massive quality-of-life upgrade. The MacBook Air (M5) remains a fantastic machine if you live entirely in the Apple ecosystem. But if you want top-tier on-device AI features, a vibrant OLED touchscreen, and absolute Windows flexibility, you should definitely save your budget for the Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro.
