A fresh leak shared on X (formerly Twitter) by Informasi Gadget has spilled nearly all the major details of the upcoming Honor 500 Pro – and it already looks like one of Honor’s most exciting launches of the year. The Honor 500 series, which includes the models MEY-AN00 and MEP-AN00, is expected to make its debut in China later this month. Both devices have appeared on China’s 3C certification database, and the MEY-AN00 variant was recently spotted running the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, adding more credibility to earlier rumors.
Just a few months ago, Honor rolled out the Honor 400 and 400 Pro in China, powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets. Now, it seems the brand is preparing a major performance leap with the Honor 500 Pro, which is said to come equipped with Qualcomm’s newer Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor.
The device also recently popped up on Geekbench, confirming a hefty 16GB of RAM and the latest Android 16 software. In benchmark tests, it pulled off a strong 3100 points in the single-core test and an impressive 9463 points in the multi-core test – clear signs that Honor is targeting flagship-tier performance with its next Pro model.
Honor 500 Pro specifications (rumored)
Honor has already revealed that the Honor 500 Pro will ship in multiple variants. Buyers will be able to choose from configurations like 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and a top-end 16GB+1TB model. When it comes to aesthetics, the Pro variant won’t disappoint either. The phone will be available in several eye-catching colors, including Aquamarine, Starlight Pink, Obsidian Black, and Moonlight Silver.
Moving to the display, the Honor 500 Pro is expected to feature a 6.55-inch screen with a sharp 2736 x 1264 resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Even better, it reportedly supports 4320Hz PWM dimming, which should reduce eye strain and make long viewing sessions more comfortable.
Earlier leaks hinted that Honor would include a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B periscope lens on this model. However, according to new claims from tipster Bald Panda, the company has changed direction. Instead of the 64MP lens, the Honor 500 Pro may use a 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 periscope camera – a sensor known for delivering improved clarity and low-light performance.
The upgrades don’t stop there. The phone’s rear camera setup is said to include a massive 200-megapixel Samsung HP3 main lens, backed by a large 1/1.4-inch sensor for better detail and dynamic range. Alongside that, users can expect a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a wide 117-degree field of view. Although Honor hasn’t shared details on the front camera yet, previous reports suggest a 50-megapixel selfie shooter is in the pipeline, which would make the 500 Pro equally strong on the front-facing side.

One of the most surprising leaks involves the battery. The Honor 500 Pro may come loaded with a massive 8,000mAh battery – one of the largest we’ve seen in a mainstream smartphone this year. Despite this huge capacity, charging won’t be slow. The device is tipped to support 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging, making it perfect for heavy users who need both endurance and speed.
In terms of extra hardware features, the Honor 500 Pro is expected to include a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for improved accuracy and security. It may also feature Honor’s C1+ RF enhancement chip, designed to boost network stability, and an E2 energy efficiency chip that helps the phone manage power consumption more intelligently.
Honor has yet to officially confirm the launch date for the Honor 500 series, but reports suggest the big reveal may happen on November 24 in China. With all these powerful upgrades and premium features, the Honor 500 Pro is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated smartphones of the season.
If these leaks prove accurate, Honor seems ready to deliver a device that’s not just fast – but surprisingly powerful in every category.
