Infinix Note 50 Edge Leak: 6500mAh Battery and Dimensity 7100 Detailed

A new leak from tipster Debayan Roy suggests the upcoming Infinix Note 50 Edge will feature a massive 6500mAh battery and the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset. The information surfaced on X (formerly Twitter) today, showing a starting price of ₹22,000 for the base model.

The Leaked Specs: A Battery Monster?

I’ve been tracking the Note series for years, and if this data holds up, Infinix is pivoting hard from “charging speed” to “battery endurance.” Here is the breakdown of the leaked specs for the Infinix Note 50 Edge compared to its predecessor, the Note 40 Pro.

  • Display:
    • Leaked: 6.78″ 1.5K Curved OLED, 120Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass 7i.
    • The jump from FHD+ (Note 40) to the 1.5K resolution on the Infinix Note 50 Edge is a significant visual upgrade.
  • Processor:
    • Leaked: MediaTek Dimensity 7100 (UFS 2.2 Storage).
    • The Note 40 Pro ran on the Dimensity 7020. The 7100 is a newer, efficiency-focused 6nm chip. It’s not a flagship killer, but it should offer better thermal management.
  • Battery & Charging:
    • Leaked: 6500mAh battery with 45W charging.
    • This is the headline. The previous model had a 5000mAh cell. You are gaining a massive 30% more capacity, though the 45W speed feels conservative for a cell this size.
  • Cameras:
    • Leaked: 50MP Main + 13MP Front.
    • Interestingly, this looks like a resolution drop from the 108MP sensor on the Note 40 Pro. However, megapixels aren’t everything. I suspect a better sensor size or OIS integration here.
  • Software:
    • Leaked: 3 years Android updates + 5 years security patches.
    • A huge improvement over the typical 2-year promise.
  • Extras: IR Blaster, RGB Light (Halo Light return?), IP65 rating.
Infinix Note 50 Edge feature a massive 6500mAh battery

My Take: I honestly think this is the smartest move Infinix could make. The mid-range market is drowning in generic phones with 5000mAh batteries. By pushing the Infinix Note 50 Edge to 6500mAh, they are solving a real user pain point: battery anxiety.

Debayan Roy has a solid track record with these mid-range leaks. The specific mention of “Dimensity 7100” adds credibility because that chip was just announced earlier this year as an efficiency champion. It fits the narrative perfectly: a big battery paired with a low-power chip.

However, the “useless 13MP front camera” comment in the leak worries me. Selfie quality is huge in this segment. If they cut costs there to pay for the 1.5K screen, some buyers might hesitate. Also, UFS 2.2 storage in 2026 feels a bit dated; I would have preferred UFS 3.1 for better longevity.

Price Analysis:

  • 6GB + 128GB: ₹22,000
  • 8GB + 128GB: ₹24,000
  • 8GB + 256GB: ₹26,000

At ₹22,000, the Infinix Note 50 Edge is undercutting rivals like the Redmi Note series and the Realme Number series, which often start higher for similar specs.

Conclusion

If you prioritize screen time over charge time, this device looks like a winner. The combination of a 1.5K display and that massive tank of a battery is rare at this price point.

Should you wait? Yes. If you can live with slower 45W charging (it will take a while to fill 6500mAh), the Infinix Note 50 Edge could be the battery king of 2026.
