The Samsung Galaxy F70e is a masterclass in mediocrity. It demands a premium price for budget scraps. With a slow charger missing from the box, an outdated display, and a processor you can get significantly cheaper elsewhere, this phone is a hard pass. Keep your wallet closed.
The Good: One UI and a Massive Tank
I hate to admit it, but Samsung did one thing right here. The software support.
The Samsung Galaxy F70e ships with Android 16 and a promise of six years of OS upgrades. That is unheard of in the budget segment. Usually, cheap phones get one update and are abandoned by the manufacturer. If you plan to use the Samsung Galaxy F70e until 2032, the software will actually support you.
The 6,000mAh battery is also a beast. It’s a massive cell that will easily last two days, mostly because the screen is too low-resolution to drain it quickly. For users who live away from power outlets, the Samsung Galaxy F70e offers raw capacity that is genuinely useful. The 50MP main camera is decent on paper, capturing acceptable photos if the lighting is perfect. But that is where the praise ends.
The Bad: Welcome to 2020
This phone is a collection of cut corners.
Let’s talk about the display. A 6.7-inch LCD is fine, but HD+ resolution? In 2026? That is embarrassing. At this price point, 1080p (FHD+) is the bare minimum. Text will look softer, and videos won’t look as sharp as they should. Samsung is the king of displays, yet it gave the Samsung Galaxy F70e a screen that belongs in the bargain bin.
Then there is the charging situation. 25W wired charging is painfully slow for a 6,000mAh battery. You will be tethered to the wall for ages waiting for this tank to fill up. To make matters worse, the charger is sold separately. You pay more, you get less. It’s a classic greedy move.
The connectivity is also stuck in the past. Wi-Fi 5? Bluetooth 5.3? We have moved on. The IP54 rating is weak, offering barely any protection compared to the competition. And don’t get me started on the “Depth Sensor.” That 2MP secondary camera is useless junk added just to make the spec sheet look longer. It does nothing for your photos.
Finally, the base model comes with 4GB of RAM. Do not buy a 4GB RAM phone running Android 16. It will stutter, it will lag, and it will make you hate your life within six months.

The Money Question: The “Samsung Tax” is Real
This is where the Samsung Galaxy F70e completely falls apart.
Let’s look at the math. The 4GB variant of the F70e costs ₹12,999. Now look at its direct rival, the Poco C85 5G.
The Poco C85 uses the exact same MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. It has the same 6,000mAh battery capacity. But the Poco C85 costs ₹10,999.
That is a ₹2,000 price difference. What do you lose by saving that money? Nothing. In fact, you gain features.
- Charging: The Poco charges at 33W (vs. Samsung’s slow 25W).
- Durability: The Poco is IP64 rated (better dust/water resistance than Samsung’s IP54).
- Connectivity: The Poco has newer Bluetooth 5.4.
Why would you pay ₹2,000 more for the Samsung Galaxy F70e to get slower charging, worse ingress protection, and no charger in the box? You are paying for the logo on the back. That is it.
If you opt for the 6GB variant of the Samsung, you are shelling out ₹14,999. For that price, you are entering territory where you can find phones with AMOLED screens and vastly superior processors. The value proposition here is nonexistent.
The Final Verdict
The Samsung Galaxy F70e relies entirely on brand loyalty to trick you into overpaying for outdated hardware.
Buy if:
- You are terrified of other brands: You only trust Samsung and refuse to look at the spec sheet.
- You keep phones forever: You genuinely need 6 years of software updates and don’t care if the phone is slow while running them.
Skip if:
- You value your money: You can get the same performance for ₹2,000 less with the Poco C85.
- You have eyes: The HD+ display is not good enough for media consumption in 2026.
- You are impatient: 25W charging on a 6,000mAh battery will test your sanity.
