A new leak from tipster Oneily Gadget suggests the Tecno Camon 50 Ultra 5G will feature a 6,500mAh battery. The information surfaced on social media today, showing detailed specs including a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate processor and an ultra-rugged IP69K build for its upcoming launch.
Tecno is gearing up for MWC 2026, and the rumors are already flying. I’ve been tracking Tecno’s releases for years. They usually throw everything at the wall to see what sticks. But this new spec sheet for the Tecno Camon 50 Ultra 5G is a strange mix of flagship ambitions and budget compromises.
The Tecno Camon 50 Ultra 5G Leaked Details
Since the Camon 50 Ultra leak does not mention a “Pro” or “Plus” model, we have to evaluate this as the undisputed top-tier device in the upcoming lineup.
- Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate (built on a 4nm process) paired with a Mali-G615 MP2 GPU.
- Display: 6.78-inch curved AMOLED. It hits a 1.5K resolution (1208 x 2644) and a blazing 144Hz refresh rate.
- Memory & Storage: Up to 12GB of modern LPDDR5x RAM, but shackled to 256GB of older UFS 2.2 internal storage.
- Battery: A massive 6,500mAh capacity cell supported by 45W Super Charge.
- Cameras: A 50MP Sony LYT-700C primary sensor with OIS. You also get a 50MP telephoto lens (3x optical, 60x AI SuperZoom) and an 8MP ultra-wide. The front packs a 50MP selfie shooter with 4K/60fps video support.
- Build & Aesthetics: Features Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front and Gorilla Glass 7i on the rear. It comes in Orange, Purple, Green, and Black with a pill-shaped camera island.
- Durability: Holds IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings. It is fully waterproof and dustproof, surviving even high-pressure cleaning.
- Software & Price: Tecno Camon 50 Ultra 5G Runs on Android 16-based HiOS 16, with a promise of three major OS upgrades. Expected global pricing starts at roughly ₹42,773 in European markets.

Compared to last year’s Camon 40 Premier, the changes are wild. The battery jumped from 5200mAh to an insane 6500mAh. That is a massive upgrade. However, the charging speed dropped from 70W to 45W. The ultra-wide camera also took a serious hit, falling from a flagship 50MP sensor down to a basic 8MP lens.
Tipsters often mix up the specs of the “Ultra” models with budget spin-offs. If this leak is completely accurate, the Tecno Camon 50 Ultra 5G might be the most confusing release of the year.
The 6,500mAh battery makes perfect sense for Tecno’s gaming-focused Pova line. But it is incredibly thick for the sleek, photography-focused Camon series. Charging a cell that massive at just 45W will take well over an hour and a half. In 2026, 45W feels like a step backward for an “Ultra” tier device.
Should you wait for this release? If you are heavily invested in mobile photography and need a phone that doubles as a rugged brick, maybe. The main and telephoto sensors look excellent on paper. But I would hold off on skipping current market deals just yet. I highly doubt the final retail version of the Tecno Camon 50 Ultra 5G will ship with such glaring storage and charging compromises.
