Here is the deal. Xiaomi 17 Ultra is an absolute unit on paper but surprisingly sleek in person. It’s only 8.29mm thick, which is wild considering it’s packing a massive 6800mAh battery – that is enough juice to easily last you through a heavy day of filming and gaming. Speaking of the screen, the 6.9-inch display is gorgeous. It uses specialized Shield Glass 3, so you won’t have to baby it as much, and it gets bright enough to stay clear even under the harshest midday sun.
Under the hood, we are looking at the brand-new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. Can you believe it? This 3nm beast, paired with UFS 4.1 storage, means everything from switching apps to rendering 8K video is going to be buttery smooth.
But let’s talk about the real reason we are here: those cameras. Xiaomi went and put a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens on this thing! In real-world terms, you can zoom from a wide landscape shot all the way into a crisp portrait from across the street without losing that professional detail.
