The new ‘HONOR X8e’ has been unveiled on the official HONOR Azerbaijan website. Designed with the everyday user in mind, this entry-level smartphone places a strong emphasis on durability and long-lasting battery life.
HONOR X8e Specifications
Looking at the specifications of the HONOR X8e, it is clear that the brand has taken a distinct approach regarding the battery. The device features a 7,700 mAh battery, supported by 45W ‘HONOR SuperCharge’ wired charging. It is worth noting that the previous model, the ‘HONOR X7e Plus 4G’, released in August, housed a massive 8,100 mAh battery; thus, the capacity has been slightly reduced in this new model. Nevertheless, it is still capable of easily lasting up to two days, even with heavy usage.

The HONOR X8e 4G smartphone features a 6.87-inch TFT LCD panel. It offers a resolution of 1,592 x 720 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of up to 1,020 nits. While screen navigation feels quite snappy, a 720p resolution is somewhat underwhelming for modern-day media consumption.
The device runs on MagicOS 10, based on Android 16. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 processor paired with an Adreno 610 GPU. Users get 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Additionally, to ensure smoother multitasking, the phone incorporates ‘RAM Turbo’ technology, which provides 8GB of physical RAM along with 16GB of virtual memory.

A key highlight of the HONOR X8e is its robust build quality. It carries IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, offering exceptional protection against dust and water. It has also earned ‘SGS Premium Performance’ certification; in controlled laboratory tests, the device remained intact even after being dropped from a height of 2.5 meters.
In terms of its camera setup, the phone includes a 108-megapixel primary rear lens (with an f/1.75 aperture) and a basic auxiliary lens. It supports 1080p video recording, 8x digital zoom, and features a rear LED flash. For selfies and video calls, it is equipped with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

Other additions include ‘AI Image to Video 2.0,’ a dedicated button for quick access to AI features, dual nano-SIM support, and NFC. However, in terms of connectivity, the phone utilizes somewhat older technology; it features Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2. The device is equipped with a USB-C 2.0 port, which also functions as a headphone jack.
The phone measures 168.3 x 78.54 x 8.3 mm and weighs 218.5 grams. It will be available in three colors: Sunrise Orange, Desert Gold, and Velvet Black.
Details regarding the official global launch of the HONOR X8e have not yet been confirmed. Based on listings from local retailers, the HONOR X8e, with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, is expected to be priced between $400 (38,116 rupees) and $480 (45,727 rupees).
