Vivo is officially launching the Vivo Y600 Turbo in China on May 25, 2026. This smartphone focuses on performance and is aimed at buyers who want long battery life and gaming capabilities. Pre-sales will begin on May 25, right after the recent launch of the standard Vivo Y600 Pro.
Vivo Y600 Turbo Launch
Reservations for this device will open on May 21. There is a clear trend where brands are putting large battery cells into mid-range phones. The Vivo Y600 Turbo stands out as a prime example of this approach. This is a significant plus for heavy gamers who dislike bulky power banks.
However, specifications are rarely new in this segment. The Vivo Y600 Turbo seems to be a rebranded version of the iQOO Z11, which launched in China earlier in March. By rebranding, Vivo hopes to attract a larger retail audience with familiar hardware. This strategy makes sense, but it requires careful price comparisons. If the price matches that of its iQOO counterpart, customers will get flagship-level battery life for a mid-range price. Make sure to check the final price before deciding.
Specification Breakdown Across the Models
The Vivo Y600 Turbo takes its power setup very seriously. It includes a 9,020mAh “Blue Ocean” battery inside its pink and white design. This large capacity guarantees two full days of heavy use. It also supports 90W wired fast charging, which is essential for a battery of this size.
On the visual side, it features a 6.83-inch OLED display with a sharp 1.5K resolution. More importantly, the display supports a rapid 165Hz refresh rate. This makes the Y600 Turbo significant for Vivo, as it is the brand’s first smartphone to achieve this speed. Gamers will appreciate the smoother animations and reduced touch delays.

Inside, the device uses a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset. Vivo pairs this processor with high-speed LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, ensuring fast app loading and stable frame rates during intense gaming. On the software side, it runs the latest Android 16 with the OriginOS 6 skin.
The camera setup is quite capable for this price range. It features a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 main sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary lens. There is also a solid 16-megapixel front camera for selfies and high-definition video calls.
We should consider the previous model, the Vivo Y300 GT, to understand the upgrade path. The Vivo Y300 GT launched in May 2025 with a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen, a 144Hz refresh rate, and an impressive brightness of 5,500 nits. It had a Dimensity 8400 chip and a slightly smaller 7,620mAh battery. This model ran on Android 15 with OriginOS 5 and had an IP65 rating along with a VC liquid cooling system.
The leap to the Vivo Y600 Turbo is substantial on paper. The new model significantly increases battery capacity from 7,620mAh to 9,020mAh. It also offers a newer processor and a faster display, making it an appealing option for power users.

Since the Vivo Y600 Turbo is essentially a repackaged device from the iQOO line, its pricing is easy to predict. The iQOO Z11 currently starts at around Rs. 31,200 for the 8GB + 256GB version. We can expect the new Vivo phone to land in a similar price range.
Meanwhile, the somewhat older iQOO Z11 Turbo launched in January 2026, starting at about Rs. 27,000. You need to consider whether the newer OS version and Vivo branding justify the extra cost compared to existing iQOO models.
Both the iQOO Z11 and the iQOO Z11 Turbo have similar core performance. This new smartphone takes this successful formula and adds OriginOS 6 and new design features. Buyers looking for good value might still prefer the older iQOO devices if there are significant retail discounts.
If you currently own the Vivo Y300 GT, upgrading might be a tough choice. You will definitely enjoy the faster 165Hz screen and the large 9,020mAh battery. However, the core camera hardware is the same as the 50MP Sony LYT-600 main sensor. Consider buying this new phone only if your current battery life is not meeting your daily needs.
