OnePlus 15T Launch Set for March 24: India Release Expected Soon

OnePlus is launching the OnePlus 15T in China this March, before a likely India release. Positioning it as a no-compromise compact flagship, the brand is targeting buyers who want massive battery life and top-tier gaming power without holding a heavy, oversized device.

According to tipster Debayan Roy, the OnePlus 15T is officially confirmed for a March 24, 2026, debut in China. It is expected to hit international markets, including India, in the second quarter. It might arrive under the OnePlus 15s name. If we look at the current market, compact phones usually fail at battery life. Not anymore.

Let’s look at its direct predecessor, the OnePlus 13T. The 13T was a solid device available in Cloud Ink Black, Morning Mist Gray, and Powder Pink. It gave us a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, up to 1TB of storage, and a 120Hz LTPO AMOLED display hitting 4,500 nits. It also swapped the classic Alert Slider for a customizable Quick Key. At the time, its 6,260mAh battery was great. But jumping to the upcoming model is a huge leap forward. Brands are finally realizing we want thick batteries. These massive battery and thermal cooling upgrades mean the launch price will definitely jump.

OnePlus 15T Specification (Rumor)

The OnePlus 15T spec sheet is incredible for a small phone. It packs a 6.32-inch 1.5K AMOLED display. The refresh rate hits a rapid 165Hz. Bezels are an ultra-thin 1.1mm. It runs on the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. It uses a special “Tri-Chip” design for better gaming and touch response.

Powering all this is a wild 7,500mAh Glacier Battery. That is huge. The OnePlus 15T still only weighs 194g with a slim 71.82mm width and a balanced 50:50 weight distribution. It comes in Healing White Chocolate, Pure Cocoa, and Relaxing Matcha. It supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. You also get an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and magnetic accessory support for things like cooling fans. Durability is elite, packing IP66, IP68, and IP69K ratings. You can grab it with 12GB or 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of storage.

Compare this to the older OnePlus 13T, which maxed out at 120Hz and 80W charging with an IP65 rating. Then there is the Xiaomi 15 5G. It brings a 6.36-inch 1.5K 120Hz display peaking at 3,200 nits. It uses the older 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite. The Xiaomi 15 5G battery is much smaller at 5,240mAh, paired with 90W wired charging and a standard IP68 rating.

OnePlus 15T is officially confirmed for a March 24, 2026

Let us match the cameras and daily specs. The OnePlus 15T battles the Xiaomi 15 5G directly for the compact crown. Both phones pack 12GB to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. But their camera focus is very different. The Xiaomi 15 5G rocks a triple 50MP Leica system and a 32MP front camera. You get great wide shots, a 2.6x optical telephoto, and a strong ultrawide lens.

The new OnePlus counters with a 50MP main camera and a new 3.5x LUMO periscope lens. Does this new device actually beat the competition on paper? Yes. For pure performance and power, it dominates. A 7,500mAh battery completely crushes Xiaomi’s 5,240mAh cell. The 165Hz screen is faster. Xiaomi might win on pure camera versatility and its Xiaomi Shield Glass. But for heavy use and gaming, OnePlus wins easily.

So, should you wait for this launch? If you are considering a smartphone in the premium flagship bracket, the wait makes total sense. I highly advise holding off if battery life dictates your buying choice. The era of small phones with weak batteries is officially over. You will get top gaming power, strong build quality, and extreme charging speeds. If you want high-end specs in a pocket-friendly size, save your money for the upcoming OnePlus 15T.
