The Razr 2026 series debuts in the US, while the global Motorola Razr 70 lineup features improved silicon-carbon battery technology and upgraded cover displays to attract buyers away from traditional flat phones.
The flagship Motorola Razr 70 Ultra represents a significant hardware upgrade. The standout feature is its large 5,000mAh silicon-carbon battery. This new battery technology greatly surpasses the previous Razr 60 Ultra, which used a standard 4,700mAh lithium-ion battery. Users will also enjoy improved charging speeds to keep the big battery charged. The new Ultra supports fast 68W wired and 50W wireless charging, easily outpacing the slower 45W charging of the last generation.

The Motorola Razr 70 Ultra starts at a hefty Rs 1,09,990 in India, reaching Rs 1,15,000, or about $1,099 to $1,499 in the US. This represents a substantial price increase from the current Rs 79,990 street price of the older Ultra. Meanwhile, the standard model falls between Rs 64,999 and Rs 74,000, or $799 for the base US version, creating a large price gap between the two new models.
This pricing strategy directly competes with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8. Set for release in July 2026, the Samsung flip phone remains a reliable choice due to its extensive ecosystem and seven years of software updates. However, Samsung still uses slower 25W charging and a limited cover-screen experience. Motorola clearly excels in hardware, allowing users to run full apps on the outer display without annoying limitations.
