The Red Magic 12 Pro Plus has arrived on the market, featuring a 2nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor with clock speeds exceeding 5 GHz. It features an Adreno 850 GPU and a dedicated Red Core R5 gaming chip, which ensures the highest possible frame rate.
Gamers can choose between two LPDDR5T Ultra RAM options: 12GB and 16GB. For storage, the Red Magic 12 Pro Plus features high-speed UFS 4.1 Pro memory with capacities of 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB; however, there is no expansion slot.
Thermal management is handled by an RGB liquid cooling system featuring a dual-crystal micro-pump and an active 25,500 RPM fan. It incorporates Liquid Metal 4.0 and a 4D vapor chamber, with separate circulation paths for the processor and the battery.
The Red Magic 12 Pro Plus features a massive 8,400 mAh battery that supports 120W wired and 80W wireless fast charging. It also includes a ‘bypass charging’ feature, which allows the device to run directly on power from a wall socket, helping to reduce heat generated during extended use.
On the front, it features a 6.85-inch 1.5K OLED display that operates at a 185Hz refresh rate, designed for competitive gaming. It offers a 500Hz global touch sampling rate, a 5,000Hz instantaneous sampling rate, a global peak brightness of 1,900 nits, and a local peak brightness of 5,000 nits.
Eye strain has been reduced through 2,592 Hz PWM dimming, DC-like dimming, 10-bit color depth, and 100% DCI-P3 coverage. The overall software experience is powered by Red Magic OS 12.0, which is based on Android 17.
On the back, it features a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50E40 main sensor, equipped with an f/1.88 aperture and OIS, along with a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50J40 ultra-wide lens. Additionally, there is a 16-megapixel OmniVision OV16A1Q camera hidden beneath the display, which ensures the screen remains completely unobstructed and clear during gaming.
On Giztop, the price of the Red Magic 12 Pro Plus starts at $1,299 (approximately 122,819 Indian Rupees). Global and express shipping options are currently available for international buyers.
