Just ahead of the global launch of the Vivo X500 series, key details about the lineup have surfaced via the ‘European Product Registry for Energy Labelling.’ Although the phones in this series went on sale in China earlier this week, a microsite from Vivo Austria has confirmed that their rollout in the European Union (EU) will begin on October 27.
Buyers can obtain a registration voucher before sales officially begin on November 5. Through this event, the three phones are entering the global market for the first time, and their official launch in India is also expected soon.
What changes are being made to the battery with the Vivo X500 series launch?
Specifications for the global version of the Vivo X500 series reveal that the battery capacity has been significantly reduced compared to the version sold in the Chinese market. The standard Vivo X500 model features a 5,300 mAh battery for the global market, whereas the Chinese version comes with a massive 7,500mAh battery.
A similar change has been observed with the X500 Pro Max; its battery capacity has been reduced from 8,000 mAh to 6,800 mAh for the global market. Only the X500 Pro model remains unchanged; it features a 6,500 mAh battery, which is nearly identical to the 6,510 mAh battery found in its Chinese version.
A notable feature of the Vivo X500 series is that its Pro models are the first smartphones to utilize the 2nm MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro processor. This new processor will accelerate app loading speeds and keep the phone relatively cool during heavy gaming.
The standard Vivo X500 model is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9600M chip and features a large 6.59-inch 144Hz AMOLED screen. On the other hand, the Vivo X500 Pro model utilizes a relatively smaller 6.36-inch 144Hz LTPO AMOLED display.
The premium X500 Pro Max also features a 144Hz LTPO AMOLED panel to deliver smooth scrolling and a vibrant color experience.
All three devices feature a 3.5x periscope lens, allowing users to zoom in on distant subjects while maintaining image clarity.
